Good Will - Hinckley we change lives

Who We Serve...

The breadth of lives we change at GWH has been constant and consistent throughout the years.  It has grown significantly while always maintaining the vision and mission of its founder, to help young people in need of a home and helping hand.  The GWH of this century may have a different look or a more modern feel, but the ties that bind us to the past are solid and grounded in Reverend Hinckley's desire and passion to help young people reach their full potential.

Present Day Good Will - Hinckley Services:

  • High school students who enjoy the benefit of a more individualized and hands-on approach to learning while studying sustainability, forestry and agriculture at the Maine Academy of Natural Sciences - Maine's first charter high school.

  • Young adults, ages 18-26, who aspire to further their education beyond high school and pursue a degree or certification at the local community college or other post-secondary training programs; and who would benefit from year round housing and support in the areas of academics, life skills and network development in our College Step-Up Program.

  • Students in grades Kindergarten through 12 who experience significant social, emotional and behavioral problems in our Glenn Stratton Learning Center day treatment program.

  • Children and families who enjoy all of the unique cabinets of curiosities, Maine wildlife dioramas, and educational programs offered at the L.C. Bates Museum.
