FESTIVAL OF TREES

Every year thousands of community members, businesses, schools and group homes visit us to take part in our annual Festival of Trees event.

| 2014 Events Not to Miss...
| Daily Viewing of the Trees:
Held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day between Saturday December 6th and Saturday, December 13th in Prescott Hall on the Hinckley campus. The Festival stays open into the evening Wednesday, December 10th and Friday, December 12th. Admission and entertainment is free to the public.
In addition to the daily viewings, the Festival will include raffle prizes, a scavenger hunt, Santa letter writing station and even Santa himself. New this year we will be raffling ten three-foot pre-lit trees decorated in the themes of the Festival participants. Our L.C. Bates Museum will also be hosting two events during the week(call 207-238-4280 to learn more).
2nd Annual Winter Craft Fair:
On Saturday, December 6th, GWH will host our 2nd Annual Winter Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The craft fair will include 32 booths rented by local Maine artists and crafters. The dance group Clogging Commotion also will join us at 1 p.m. as well as Santa. For more information click here.
Kids Cookie Decorating/Woodworking Workshop:
On Sunday, December 7th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. bring your children to our Kid’s Cookie Decorating/Woodworking Workshop where they can decorate their own cookie or paint their own wooden craft donated by Home Depot. Free entertainment by The Kennebec Valley Chordsmen starts at 1pm. And Santa will be visiting us too!
Down Home Turkey Dinner:
On Wednesday, December 10th, GWH will host a “Down Home” Turkey Dinner at 5 p.m. featuring local ingredients. Admission to the dinner is $12 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and free for children under 5. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
Menu: All you can eat - Roasted Turkey, Garlic Mashed potatoes, Maple Squash, Buttered Peas, Nana's Old Fashioned Homemade Cranberry Sauce, Gravy, Rosemary Parmesan Wheat Biscuits, Garden Salad, Pumpkin Pie, Apple Berry Cobbler with Maple Whipped Cream.
Immediately following dinner, the Skowhegan Area High School Concert Choir and Good-Will Hinckley Students will perform live entertainment at 7 and 7:30 p.m. The entertainment is free and open to the public.

Holiday Bell Concert:
On Friday, December 13th, Over the River Ringers (formerly Riverside Bell Ringers) will perform free to the public starting at 7 p.m.
